近日,我室与南京大学联合培养的硕士生李海丽在IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing上发表了有关北极气旋对海洋水色参数影响的相关论文,通讯作者为我室王迪峰研究员。
北极气旋是北极频繁发生的天气系统,影响范围大,会给脆弱的北极生态系统带来巨大影响。论文利用欧洲中期天气预报中心提供的再分析数据识别与追踪了2012年7月发生在喀拉海的一场超大气旋(图1),该气旋由大气旋、小气旋和陆地气旋组成,为期10天。以该气旋为案例研究了气旋前后叶绿素a(Chl-a)浓度和海表温度(SST)的变化,得到气旋对两者的影响。研究表明,气旋过境会带来Chl-a浓度的增加和SST的降低(图2和图3)。近岸Chl-a浓度增量大于陆架区,陆架区增量大于深海区。近岸区Chl-a浓度增量最高超过5mg/m3(表2)。近岸SST下降量大于陆架和深海,近岸最大下降量超过4℃(图3)。近岸Chl-a浓度和SST变化量大则主要是由于降水量的增加,陆地径流增大,带来陆源营养盐和额外的冷水。
