Research Field 2:Ocean Dynamic Processes and Marine Eco-environment

Research Content:

1) 3D marine observation: including the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of environmental elements such as offshore circulation, front, thermocline, water mass, and primary production;

2) Ecological dynamic coupling model: coupling and regulation mechanism of physical-chemical-biological marine processes and their effects on resources and environment; the coupling model is also used to reveal the high-resolution ecosystem dynamics model to reveal the characteristics and evolution of nutrient structure and ecological environment in China's coastal waters;

3) Mechanical study: the impact of material transport at important interfaces (river-sea, water-bottom, shelf-open sea) on nutrient revenue and expenditure, especially to study the influence of mesoscale physical processes on nutrient regeneration and circulation.
