Research Interest
Dr. Yuntao Wang obtained his PhD from University of Georgia in 2015, majoring in physical oceanography. He worked as Sea Grant John Knauss Fellow in 2016 at NOAA Fishery Office of Science & Technology, U.S.A. From 2017, Dr. Wang started working as an associate researcher at State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics (SOED), Second Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources in Hangzhou, China. And he currently serves as the Chinese Liaison for the China-U.S. Joint Scientific Expert Group (JSEG). His research focuses on investigating the variability of SST frontal probability and associated mesoscale air-sea interaction in global coastal oceans, and biogeochemical cycle and its impact on marine ecosystem in the North Pacific Ocean. Dr. Wang has published more than 40 scientific publication on Nature Review Earth Environment, Journal of Geophysical Research among other, in the related field. -
